Smart Banking Starts with Smart Security

Your safety is our priority. At Wellworth Bank, we’re committed to protecting your financial information—and helping you do the same. Here are some simple, effective cybersecurity tips every customer should know:

1. Create Strong Passwords

Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using names, birthdays, or common words. Change your passwords regularly and never share them.

2. Never Share Your Login Credentials

Your username and password are private. Wellworth Bank will never ask for them via email, text, or phone. If someone does, it’s a scam—hang up or delete the message.

3. Protect Your Debit Card Number and PIN

Treat your card details like cash. Never give out your debit card number or PIN to anyone, even if they claim to be from the bank. Use secure ATMs and shield your PIN when entering it.

4. Turn On Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Whenever possible, enable MFA for your banking apps. It adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a second form of verification—like a text code or fingerprint.

5. Watch Out for Phishing

If you receive an email, text, or call asking for your account details, pause.   Wellworth Bank will never ask for sensitive information through unsecured channels. When in doubt, contact us directly.

6. Keep Your Devices Updated

Install updates for your phone, tablet, and computer as soon as they’re available. These updates often include important security patches.

7. Avoid Public Wi-Fi for Banking

Public networks can be risky. Use a secure, private connection when accessing your accounts or making transactions.

8. Monitor Your Accounts

Check your statements regularly and set up alerts for unusual activity. If something doesn’t look right, report it immediately.
